◆Engineering Cost

Length of schooling: 3 years

Educational objectives: To cultivate excellent technical talents with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetics education, with good professional quality, practical ability, and innovation and entrepreneurship awareness, geared to engineering (cost) consulting companies, construction enterprises (Party B) and other enterprises, mastering the basic theoretical knowledge and skills of civil engineering, building installation and  building decoration engineering cost management, with strong hands-on skills and operational ability of relevant professional qualifications, capable of fully grasping calculation rules and calculation skills of quantities, common software for engineering cost, understanding the construction process, tendering and bidding procedures, and engaged in engineering budget and settlement, engineering cost analysis and other management work.

Main courses: Housing Structure and Drawing, Building Engineering Survey, Reinforced Concrete Structure, Civil Engineering Cost, Installation Engineering Cost, Decoration Engineering Drawing and Cost, Engineering Project Management, Tendering and Bidding and Contract Management, Construction Engineering Project Investment Control Comprehensive Training, Comprehensive Training of  Construction Engineering Bidding Documents and Price Control Planning, and On-post Practice.

Employment orientation: Thegraduates can be engaged in related work in various types of enterprises and institutions and government departments such as engineering cost consulting companies, building engineering construction units, installation engineering construction units, decoration engineering construction units, real estate development companies, engineering construction supervision units, etc.

Experimental and training conditions: We have more than 10 in-campus laboratories, such as Building Surveying Laboratory, Comprehensive Project Management System Training Room, Engineering Cost Training Room, Field Remote Control Synchronous Video Training Room, Real Estate Investment Analysis Training Room, and Green Building Structure Construction Quality Control Training Room, as well as 8 off-campus training bases (enterprises).

Faculty: Among the full-time teachers, we have 1 professor, 3 associate professors, 1 senior engineer, 4 doctors, 10 masters, 9 teachers with bi-expertise. The team won the first prize in the National Information-based Competition, the second prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Architectural Society of China, the second prize of Jiangsu Information-based Teaching Design, the second prize of Outstanding Graduation Thesis (Design) of College Students in JiangsuProvince, and the second prize in Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition. We also have more than 10 part-time teachers with senior professional titles or posts from the industry and well-known enterprises.
