Educational objectives: This specialty aims to cultivate excellent technical talents with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetics education, with good professional quality, practical ability, and innovation and entrepreneurship awareness, geared to all kinds of enterprises and institutions, mastering the basic theoretical knowledge of computer network, with strong hands-on skills and operational ability of relevant professional qualifications, capable of fully grasping the installation, debugging, operation and maintenance of network equipment products, operation and maintenance and management of network security, configuration and management of network server, mastering basic cloud computing and network programming technology, engaged in network construction, network security management and network applications.

Main Courses: Fundamentals of Python Programming, Fundamentals of Cloud Computing Technology, Network Generic Cabling, Windows Network Operating System, Computer Network Technology, HCNA Network Equipment Debugging, Windows Network Information Security Technology, Linux System Security Technology, Information Security Product Configuration and Application, Network Security Technology, Small Program Development Training, Comprehensive Training of Network Server Configuration and Security Management, Comprehensive Training of Network Equipment and System Security Operation and Maintenance, Comprehensive Training of Information Security and Management, On-post Practice and Graduating Project.

Employment orientation: Geared to the network engineering field of IT industry, network enterprises, system integration companies, various enterprises and institutions, government agencies in Jiangsu Province and the Yangtze River Delta region, the graduates are engaged in network engineering operation and maintenance, network security management and other fields.

Faculty: 2 doctors, 9 masters, 6 network engineers, 6 Huawei Certified System Instructors, and the teachers with bi-expertise account for 90%. We have ample part-time teachers from the industry and enterprises, who are all technical and management backbone from the forefront. The teaching staff is reasonably structured, with reasonable echelon, high teaching competency, strong scientific research ability and practical ability, presiding over municipal and departmental teaching and scientific research projects many times, and publishing many high-level academic papers.

Experimental and training conditions: 1 Network Technology Training Room, 1 Network Engineering Training Room, 1 Network and Information Security Training Room, 4 Cloud Computing Training Rooms, 1 Network Security Training Room, and 2 Routing and Switching Training Room.

Main achievements: 6 patents, 3 software copyrights, 2 municipal and departmental projects, 1 Outstanding Student Leader in Jiangsu Province, 1 College Student of the Year in Jiangsu Province, 1 first prize, 1 second prize and 1 first prize in the National Vocational Students Skills Competition, 3 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 3 third prizes in Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition, 1 second prize in the National Challenge Cup, 1 second prize in the National Invention Cup, 1 second prize in the National ICAN Competition, 1 second prize in the National “Lanqiao Cup”, and 1 second prize in the Huawei College Students ICT Competition.
