Educational objectives: Geared to the electromechanical equipment installation, debugging, maintenance, repair and other technical fields in the equipment manufacturing industry, this specialty aims to cultivate excellent technical talents with firm beliefs, superior skills, a certain scientific and cultural level, professional quality of commitment and team working, craftsmanship spirit of persistent improving and strong employment and entrepreneurial ability, armed with specialized knowledge in mechanical technology, electrical and electronic technology, modern detection technology, robotics and other electromechanical integration technologies, capable of  the assembly and debugging of electromechanical equipment, inspection and maintenance and operation management of automatic production line and intelligent manufacturing unit, and able to be engaged in the installation and debugging, maintenance and repair, technical transformation, after-sales service, etc. of electromechanical equipment, automated production line and intelligent manufacturing unit. Three years after graduation, the students grow into technical and management backbones in the application, management, maintenance and transformation of electromechanical equipment.

Main courses: This specialty mainly offers Mechanical Drawing and CAD, Fundamentals of Electrical Technology, Mechanical Innovative Design, Fundamentals of Mechanical Manufacturing, Mechanical Manufacturing Technology, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Transmission, Electrical and PLC Control Technology, Electromechanical Product Innovative Design, Sensor and Detection Technology, Equipment Fault Diagnosis and Maintenance, Installation and Debugging of Motion Control System, Automatic Line Control Technology, Industrial Robot Debugging, Industrial Robot Simulation, High-level Language Programming, Intelligent Manufacturing System, Turner Training, Fitter Training, Electromechanical Comprehensive Training, Comprehensive Training of Electromechanical Equipment Installation and Debugging, Intelligent Manufacturing Unit Comprehensive Training, On-post Practice and Graduating Project, Social Practice and other courses.

Employment orientation: The graduates can be engaged in the operation and maintenance, assembly and debugging, design integration and maintenance management of automatic production lines and robotic workstations, sales and technical services of electromechanical products, and sales and technical service management, etc. of automatic machinery and automatic production lines.

The teaching staff is reasonably structured, with high teaching competency and strong scientific research ability. Main achievements: In the past five years, we have built 2 national open online courses, 3 ministerial and provincial open online courses, published 5 ministerial and provincial key textbooks, obtained 27 authorized patents, and won 3 first prizes, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes in the National Vocational Students Skills Competition, 5 first prizes in the Provincial Vocational Students Skills Competitions, 1 silver medal in the 3rd Internet+ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, 4 second prizes in the Jiangsu Challenge Cup Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, more than 60 first, second and third prizes in the National Vocational Students’ “Invention Cup” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the first prize (the first place) in the Sino-Finnish (Jiangsu) Vocational Students Skills Competition, and the third place in the Russian Eurasian World Skills Competition.
