南京工业职业技术学院（简称“南工院”）毗邻著名的钟山风景区，是一所历史悠久、底蕴厚重的百年名校。前身是我国近现代民主革命家、社会活动家、教育家黄炎培先生创建于1918年的中华职业学校——我国第一所以“职业”冠名的学校。

Nanjing Vocation Institute of Industry Technology (hereinafter referred to as NIIT), adjacent to the famous Zhongshan Scenic Area, is a century-old famous institute with a long history and rich heritage, the predecessor of which is Zhonghua Vocational School, the first “vocational” school so named in Chinese history of education, which was founded in 1918 by Mr. Huang Yanpei, a modern democratic revolutionist, social activist and educator.

NIIT thoroughly carries out the Party's educational policy, firmly adheres to the socialist orientation of running schools, implements the fundamental task of strengthening morality in education, and promotes the comprehensive and sustainable development of students. In the course of running the school for a century, Huang Yanpei's vocational education thought has been inherited and carried forward all the time, following the school motto of “Dedication and Cooperation”, adhering to the education philosophy of “Hand and Mind” and the teaching method of Learning and Doing. NIIT has maintained a good development trend in talent cultivation, scientific research, social services, cultural heritage, internationalization and other fields, with its comprehensive competitiveness being at the forefront of higher vocational colleges in China.

学校持续健全“分层分类、做学合一、双创融合”人才培养模式，深化教育教学改革。学校坚持走产教融合、校企合作之路，持续提升科研和社会服务能力。学校积极推动国际合作与交流，与40个国家（地区）的90余所院校（组织）建立了稳固的交流与合作关系。

Facing the new era and the new centenary, NIIT will thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's thought of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the new era and the spirit of the National Education Congress, deepen comprehensive reform and promote connotation construction according to the development plan of the 13th Five-Year Plan of the school and the strategic plan of New Era, New Centenary, High level determined by the third representative conference of the CCP, and make unremitting efforts to build NIIT into an outstanding vocational institute in Jiangsu Province and a high-level one with Chinese characteristics in order to make it a famous higher vocational institute of applied technology first-class domestically and renowned internationally.
