On December 6, 2021 Cambodia “Chinese + TVET” Online Research and Study Program for Local Chinese Teachers was officially initiated for the purpose of promoting the integrated development of international Chinese education and vocational education “Going Global”, overseas implementing “Chinese + TVET” education, and boosting the “vocational standard construction” with Chinese characteristic and at international advanced level. This Program was jointly sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of Ministry of Education and “Chinese + TVET” International Promotion Base of Nanjing Vocational University of Industry Technology, and co-organized by Royal Academy of Cambodia and Khmer Chinese University of Science and Engineering. This “Chinese + TVET” local teacher training was launched by Center for Language Education and Cooperation of Ministry of Education, which was specially aimed at training the teachers’ teaching ability integrating Chinese and special skills for Cambodia. Participating in the training were 60 teachers respectively from Royal Academy of Cambodia, Khmer Chinese University of Science and Engineering, Southeast Asia University, Lanmei University and Sihanouk Port College of Industry and Commerce.
This training lasted 12 days, with a focus on the topics including “Chinese + TVET” in Cambodia, Center for Chinese Language and Professional Skills, and trial use of “Chinese + Hotel Management” teaching materials. For the curriculum provision, attention was paid to the basics and practicability, operability and interest. Diversified training was carried out by means of remote connection and cloud teaching to promote the “Chinese + TVET” teacher training in Cambodia and set a typical example for the cooperation against COVID-19 in the international community.
