University leaders visit Kazakhstan to expand cooperation with Central Asian countries

To further expand our university's cooperation and exchanges with Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries, and to enhance our university's influence in the region, at the invitation of the Education Department of Aktobe Region, Kazakhstan, and delegated by the Ministry of Education of China, Mr. Xie Yonghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, visited Kazakhstan from December 21 to 24. During the visit, he attended a series of events at the closing forum of "Kazakhstan’s Year of Working Professions" held in Aktobe Region and delivered an expert report. The "Year of Working Professions" activities were initiated by a decree of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan. Distinguished guests including Mr. A. Shakharov, Governor of Aktobe Region; Ms. Sh. Akparova, Vice Minister of Education of Kazakhstan; and Ms. I. Smirnova, Deputy Chairman of the Lower House of the National Parliament, attended the closing forum and delivered speeches. The forum brought together over 1,000 government representatives, experts, and scholars from countries including China, Germany, and France.

In recent years, to advance cooperation with neighboring countries, our university has actively made strategic plans and continuously explored new models and pathways for running vocational education programs abroad. In the future, our university will focus on establishing the Kazakhstan Regional Development Center for "Chinese Language + Vocational Skills" Education, striving to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents that meet the economic and social development needs of the Central Asian region. By deepening comprehensive and multi-level exchanges and cooperation with Central Asian countries in the field of vocational education, we aim to promote the sustainable and high-quality development of our overseas educational initiatives, thereby injecting strong educational momentum into the service of the Belt and Road Initiative.
