On the afternoon of June 4th, entrusted by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) of the Ministry of Education of China, the opening ceremony of the 2026 Chinese Bridge Program for Cambodian Students — Connecting the Silk Road with Wisdom, Linking the Future through Language — was successfully held at our university's Xianlin Campus.Present at the ceremony were Yu Yunfeng, Director of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, Ministry of Education of China; Om Romny, Secretary of State of Cambodia's Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and Ek Buntha, Deputy Secretary of State of Cambodia's Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts (both attending online); Xie Yonghua, Secretary of the University Party Committee; and Zhu Dan, Director of the Information Department of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation. Also in attendance were teachers for the Chinese Bridge Program and more than 60 students from China and Cambodia.The ceremony was presided over by Sun Xiucheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President of the university. On the occasion, Yu Yunfeng presented books to student representatives from Cambodia.
In recent years, focusing on Chinese language and vocational skills, our university has actively promoted the international dissemination of the "Chinese + Vocational Skills" education model. We have cultivated talents and provided intellectual support for Chinese-funded enterprises in Cambodia and local social development, and enhanced people-to-people bonds between China and Cambodia.With the theme Connecting the Silk Road with Wisdom, Linking the Future through Language, this program helps Cambodian students improve their language proficiency and vocational competencies, contributing vocational education strength to the building of the China-ASEAN Community with a Shared Future.
