University Leadership Heads Delegation to Denmark and Finland for Expanded Exchanges and Cooperation with European Institutions

To connect with high-quality European educational resources and expand cooperation with European institutions in credit recognition, curriculum development, joint program establishment, joint training, as well as faculty and student exchanges, a delegation led by Xie Yonghua, Secretary of the University Party Committee, visited Denmark and Finland from March 25 to 31.The delegation paid visits to multiple institutions including City of Helsinki University of Applied Sciences, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, and Rebild College in Denmark. They also called on the Chinese Embassies in Denmark and Finland. In-depth discussions were held on topics such as joint school-running, teacher training, faculty and student exchanges, university-enterprise cooperation, resource sharing and talent cultivation.

During the stay in Finland, the delegation also visited the University of Helsinki and the University of Turku. They conducted on-site inspections on the talent training models, industry-university-research integration mechanisms and training base development of Finnish universities of applied sciences, gaining valuable insights for our university to further advance the reform of applied talent cultivation.This visit marks an important step for the university to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Europe. Through in-depth communication with a number of local applied higher education institutions in Finland and Denmark, the two sides reached multiple consensus on cooperation and established platforms for exchange and collaboration. Taking this visit as an opportunity, our university will continue to expand cooperation networks with educationally advanced countries in Europe, accelerate the implementation of cooperation projects with Nordic nations, and enhance our competitiveness and influence in global education. We will also contribute to the internationalization of China's vocational education as well as deeper vocational education exchanges and industrial coordination between China and Europe.Relevant officials from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Party Committee Office, President's Office, Research Department, and School of Computer Science and Software Engineering joined the delegation on the visit.
