From April 13 to 18, the 2026 Inbound Study Camp for Singaporean Youth Students, themed Embark on a New Journey, Forge a Brighter Future and hosted by our university, was successfully held in Nanjing.Over the six-day camp, participants attended business administration courses and experienced the history and culture of Jiangsu. More than 70 teachers and students from China and Singapore took part in the program. The event further deepened educational and people-to-people exchanges between our university and Singapore.
Organized by the School of Economics and Management, the study camp themed Embark on a New Journey, Forge a Brighter Future focused on majors including Business Administration, Tourism and Hospitality Management. It combined enterprise visits, cultural experiences and youth interactive activities.
During enterprise visits, participants visited Jinling Hotel Group Co., Ltd., McDonald's (Nanjing) and Chenguang 1865 Cultural and Creative Industrial Park. They held in-depth discussions with enterprise mentors, learned about the operation models and management practices of Chinese enterprises, and experienced innovative practices of new business models firsthand.
For cultural experiences, the group toured Nanjing Museum and Confucius Temple, immersing themselves in Nanjing's profound history and vibrant modern urban charm. In youth exchanges, Chinese and Singaporean students discussed topics such as a comparison of business models between the two countries, gaining insights from shared ideas.
While on campus, the Singaporean teachers and students watched the 2026 Jiangsu Vocational College Skills Competition and communicated with our faculty and students. They gained a deeper understanding of the development of vocational education and the training model for skilled talents in China.
At the closing ceremony, young participants from both countries shared their gains and reflections. Singaporean students remarked that this study tour was a rewarding academic journey, a vivid cultural experience and a precious chance to build friendship. They learned practical experience of China's business development, appreciated the time-honored culture of Jiangsu and the dynamism of Nanjing. The activity also enhanced mutual understanding and friendship between both sides.
In recent years, aligning with China's strategy of opening up education to the world, our university has established teacher and student exchange mechanisms with Singapore institutions including Nanyang Polytechnic and Institute for Technical Education. We have steadily deepened practical cooperation in vocational education, improving our education quality and global influence. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen people-to-people exchanges via youth activities and further advance international education development.
