From October 29 to 31, the 2026 China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education (CACIE), hosted by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), convened in Beijing. Cai Dafeng, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Yuthana Yongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand, Qian Qun, Assistant Director-General for Education of UNESCO, and Ren Youqun, Vice Minister of Education of China, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Tian Xuejun, President of CEAIE, presided over the opening ceremony.
Aligned with the spirit of the 15th Five-Year Plan for Education Development, this annual conference serves as a concrete initiative to advance high-level opening-up of education and foster a community with a shared future for mankind. Under the theme Open for Innovation, Collaborate for Far-reaching Progress, Thailand is the Guest Country of Honor this year. The event consists of five components: plenary sessions, parallel forums, partnership matchmaking, exchange activities and the China International Education Expo. Nearly 100 sessions were held during the conference, drawing over 6,000 educators and representatives from more than 2,000 educational institutions across over 70 countries and regions to Beijing to discuss high-level international opening-up in education. He Xuejun, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of our university, was invited to the conference.
At the parallel forum titled "Joint Co-construction and Local Adaptation: Promoting High-quality Overseas Outreach of Vocational Education Resources", Qi Yanwei, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Vocational and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education of China, Wang Luxin, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), and Ye Bo, Deputy President of Higher Education Press, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the forum. He Xuejun delivered a keynote speech entitled "Practice of Nanjing Polytechnic of Industry on Overseas Certification and Local Adaptation of Vocational Education Curricula and Teaching Materials".
