On September 24, an Austrian vocational education delegation of more than 20 people, led by Gunnar Hamann, Head of the Division for Education, Reform and Digitalisation at the Education Authority of Lower Austria; Johannes Tanzer, Head of the Division for Vocational School Affairs of the same authority; and Peter Josef Nobis, Head of the Vocational School Specialised Division at the Education Authority of Upper Austria, visited our university.
Accompanying the delegation were Chen Taowei, Director of the Second Mechanism Division of the Center for International People-to-People Exchanges of the Ministry of Education; Ma Wanquan, Director of the Vocational Education Division of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education; Zheng Xing, Third-Class Researcher of the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Office (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office); Zhang Xinxin, Project Officer of the Second Mechanism Division of the Center for International People-to-People Exchanges of the Ministry of Education; and relevant persons in charge of the Beijing Institute of Enterprise-Education Research.
He Xuejun, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of our university, and Sun Xiucheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President, received the delegation.
This visit has further consolidated the foundation for cooperation between our university and Austria in the field of vocational education. Our university will continue to deepen practical engagement with the Austrian vocational education community, proactively build a regular exchange platform, steadily expand the breadth and depth of international cooperation, strive to create a model for mutual learning in vocational education between China and Austria, and help continuously raise the university’s level of internationalized schooling.
