On November 11-12, the 2017 annual meeting for presidents of national higher vocational colleges was held in Changzhou, the theme of which is implementing school-enterprise cooperation and integration of production and education. More than 1200 delegates from educational administrative departments, industries, enterprises, research institutes and more than 500 vocational colleges across the country attended the meeting.
NIIT (Nanjing Institute of Industry Technology) hosted the Belt and Road Forum of the meeting, and launched the Sino-British Road and Belt Initiative Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Skills Contest co-sponsored by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Alliance of National Higher Vocational Institutes and the British National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Center. Wu Xuemin, Chairman of Vocational Education Branch of China Education International Exchange Association and secretary of the Party Committee of NIIT, and Xie Yonghua, Executive Director of Vocational Education Branch of China Education International Exchange Association and President of NIIT, respectively delivered speeches on practice and strategy in this international context.
