Educational objectives: Geared to digital advertising design and creativity, digital publishing design, digital product planning and production and other digital media industries, this specialty aims to cultivate excellent and high-skilled technical talents with good professional quality, practical ability, and innovation and entrepreneurship awareness, proficient in digital media art design methods and skills, competent for audio and video production, film and television special effects production, digital publication design and production, new media design and production, photography and video, mobile terminal media design and production, etc., integrating digital technology application with art design and production, with professional qualification certificates.
Main courses: Digital Image Representation, Photographic and Camera Technology, Digital Video Production, Digital Audio Production, Creative Photography Comprehensive Training, Film & TV Editing and Special Effects Production, Mobile Terminal Media Design and Production, Digital Publication Design and Production, ui Design, Digital Short Film Training, Mobile Media Design Training, Digital Media Product Planning and Production.
Employment orientation: Geared to TV stations, film and television production agencies, advertising companies, film and television companies, network multimedia, e-commerce website design, wedding photograph studios, cultural publicity departments, digital publication design and production, multimedia distance education and other hot industries, the graduates are mainly dedicated to the digital media art field, with broad employment prospects and great potentials for development.
Faculty: Among the full-time teachers, we have 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 8 masters, and we also have ample part-time teachers from the industry and enterprises. The teaching staff are uniformly distributed in age and professional title, with a reasonable proportion of full-time and part-time teachers. The teachers with bi-expertise and business background or project practice background account for 96% of full-time teachers.
Experimental and training conditions: We actively promote the combination of talent training and social practice to gain the recognition of industrial organizations and enterprises. In recent years, we have played a leading role in promoting the in-depth college-enterprise cooperation. With strong support from the Institute, we built a variety of in-campus laboratories in 2019, and the enterprise commercial projects have been introduced in the construction of training bases.
Main achievements: The full-time teachers won the gold prize of “Golden Pointer” Award in the Young Teachers Teaching Competition of the Art Design Specialty Teaching Steering Committee of Vocational Colleges of the Ministry of Education, the second prize in the Jiangsu College Teachers Micro-lecture Teaching Competition. The students won the second prize of the Virtual Reality Design and Production Competition of Jiangsu Higher Vocational Students Skills Competition in 2019, and won the gold and silver awards of the Digital Interaction and Video Shooting Groups respectively in the 12th and 13th “Xianxian Cup” China Good Ideas and National Digital Art Design Competition.
